I actually copied this from www.runningoffthereeses.com
but this is EXACTLY how I feel about it!
"It’s confusing to me why there is so much controversy surrounding this movie. I don’t believe it celebrated killing any more than any other movie about war. I think it’s the story of a man who loved his country and was willing to put his life on the line doing his job to protect it. I can’t imagine that there are many people who voluntarily risk their life to serve their country who do not believe that he or she is doing the right and “good” thing no matter where he or she may be from. It’s bizarre to me that there is no controversy surrounding movies from WWI and WWII where the soldiers celebrate whenever they kill German soldiers (like in Fury) because history has decided that they were the bad guys and we the good.
Anyway, I thought the movie was excellent and an incredible testament to his life. We are at war and that is reality whether you agree with it or not. It’s important that just because we don’t live in the war zone that we don’t forget it’s happening and the people who voluntarily put their lives on the line to serve their country."
