Inspiration
In September it will be 2 years since my son introduced me to running. Which I could not nor would not have started without his coaching and encouragement.
While running this evening though I realized the day was a lot warmer than I was expecting and I was struggling a bit. I thought I just need to go a mile out at least then I'd do 2 total and call it good. But as I continued I thought of Janna running the CIM this past winter. She ran 13.1 miles in not just rain, not a downpour, not on and off again showers but Monsoon rain that NEVER LET UP!
I will never forget that and every time I think, "this run is too hard or too far or too hot or cold my counter thought is and always will be, "Janna ran the CIM in a freakin STORM of water so I should and I will finish this run."
So my amazing daughter and my son will guide me and inspire me always!
3 miles tonight. I love you.
